Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, and legally able to enter into a contract. You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date. One person may hold only one contributor account. We may require identity verification before you can submit tasks or receive payouts, and we may refuse or close accounts at our discretion.

The Services let contributors browse and complete tasks, including recording video episodes, labeling text and reviewing AI-generated content, and let organizations commission such work. We publish tasks with a description, requirements, an estimated duration and a rate. Task availability depends on your region, device, qualifications and quality score and may change at any time.

You are an independent contributor, not an employee, agent or partner of ours. You decide whether and when to take tasks. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment relationship, and you are responsible for any taxes or filings that apply to the amounts you earn.

When using the Services you agree that you will not:

• Submit recordings, labels or reviews that are staged, copied, generated by automation, or otherwise not a genuine performance of the task.
• Record other people without their consent, film in places where recording is prohibited, or capture anything unlawful, dangerous or sexually explicit.
• Create multiple accounts, share your account, or use another person's identity or payment details.
• Interfere with the Services, attempt to access data that is not yours, or reverse engineer the app or platform.
• Circumvent region, device or qualification restrictions, including by using VPNs or emulators to misrepresent your location or hardware.
• Disclose task instructions, unreleased datasets or partner information to third parties.

Every submission is reviewed against the task requirements. A reviewer may approve it, reject it with a reason, or hold it for further review. Only approved submissions earn the stated rate. Review decisions are made in good faith, and you may appeal a rejection once through the platform within 14 days; the appeal decision is final.

We maintain a quality score for each account based on review outcomes. Accounts that fall below the published threshold may lose access to some or all tasks, and accounts with repeated policy violations may be suspended or closed. We may withhold or reverse payment for submissions later found to violate these Terms.

Approved submissions are credited to your balance at the rate shown when you accepted the task. Payouts run biweekly through the payment platform you select in your settings. There is no minimum balance. You are responsible for providing accurate payout details; we are not liable for payments sent to details you supplied incorrectly, and third-party platform fees may apply.

Rates are set per task and may differ by region. Earnings examples on our website are illustrations, not guarantees. We may correct clerical errors in your balance and will notify you when we do.

You retain any copyright you hold in the recordings and other content you submit. In exchange for the payments described above, you grant us and our partner organizations a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, sublicensable license to store, reproduce, modify, analyze, distribute and otherwise use your submissions for developing, training, testing, evaluating and improving AI, robotics and related systems, and for operating and improving the Services.

You confirm that you have the right to grant this license, that your submissions do not infringe anyone else's rights, and that any person who appears in a recording has consented to appear. You waive any moral rights in your submissions to the extent permitted by law.

Datasets, task designs, review guidelines, software and all other parts of the Services are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited right to use the Services as a contributor, no rights are granted to you.

You are responsible for the devices and connectivity you use. Where we offer a headstrap or other accessory through the app, the terms of that offer, including any reimbursement after your first approved submission, are shown at the time of ordering. Accessories are provided as-is for use with the Services.

Organizations that commission work through the Services agree to the separate partner agreement presented during onboarding. Where an organization enrolls its members as contributors, each member remains bound by these Terms and the organization is responsible for obtaining any consents required for members to record at its sites.

You may close your account at any time from your settings or by contacting support. Approved balances will be paid out in the next scheduled run. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Services, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents us. Sections 5 through 12 survive termination.

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that tasks will be available, that submissions will be approved, or that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we and our affiliates, officers, employees and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the greater of the amounts we paid you in the twelve months before the claim arose and one hundred US dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your submissions, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which we are established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before starting any formal proceeding you agree to contact us and attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute within 30 days. Nothing in this section limits rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence.

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes we will give at least 14 days' notice by email or in the app. If you continue to use the Services after the effective date you accept the updated Terms; if you do not agree, close your account before that date.
