No bidding, no tiers to unlock. A short task pays a flat amount; a free-form session pays for every minute that passes review.

A phone, a strap, and a task you know.
Recording needs the app and a head strap. Labeling needs a browser. Both need a quality score at or above 70%.
iPhone or Android
The recording app runs on iPhone 11 or newer and on Android 10 or newer. Episodes upload over Wi-Fi after you finish, so you can record anywhere and send later.
A head strap for recording
Required for every recording task. It holds the phone at eye level so the camera looks where you look and both hands stay in frame. Order one in the app; it is reimbursed after your first approved episode.
Any browser for labeling
Text labeling and feedback tasks run on the web. A laptop is easier, a phone browser works. Nothing to install.
A quality score of 70% or above
Every account starts qualified. Keep the share of approved submissions at or above the threshold and the whole board stays open to you.

Episodes come from lived-in spaces, with the lighting, clutter and pace a robot will meet in deployment. Contributors do the task the way they always do it.
Reviewed and labeled before delivery
Every episode passes a human reviewer for framing, completeness and the task's own rules before it enters a dataset. Labels and descriptions are written by people, and rejection reasons stay on record.
Privacy and consent handled up front
Contributors are told what their footage is for and are paid for it. Faces and identifying details are blurred or removed before release, and the consent chain is documented for your legal team.

What equipment do I need?
For recording: an iPhone 11 or newer, or an Android phone on Android 10 or newer, and the head strap that holds it at eye level. The strap is required; order it in the app and it is reimbursed after your first approved episode. For labeling and feedback tasks you only need a browser.
How much can I earn?
Rates are set per task and per region. Short recording tasks on the board today pay between $2.60 and $4.20; free-form sessions pay from $0.45 per usable minute; labeling and feedback tasks pay between $1.10 and $3.20. Every task shows its rate before you accept it.
When and how do I get paid?
Balances pay out on the 7th and the 21st of each month to the payout account you choose in settings. There is no minimum balance: anything approved by the cutoff goes out in the next run.
What does the quality threshold mean?
Your quality score is the share of your submissions that pass review. Keep it at or above 70% and every task stays open to you. If it drops below, some tasks close until it recovers; every rejection shows its reason so you know what to fix.
Is there a minimum time commitment?
No. Take one task or twenty. Most recording tasks run three to six minutes, free-form sessions ten to thirty, and you decide when to work.
What will I record?
Everyday actions: folding laundry, loading the dishwasher, watering plants, sweeping, cooking, opening cabinets. Each task names the action, the framing and the length before you start. Faces are not the point; the task is designed around hands and objects.
What happens to my footage?
Episodes are encrypted, reviewed, and used to train and evaluate AI and robotics models for us and the organizations we work with. Faces and identifying details are blurred or removed before a dataset is released, as described in our privacy policy.
Why the name Handkin?
